We offer many different options for adults as well as classes for small children through young adults. Come discover why so many call these informal gatherings the highlight of their Sabbath Day experience.

  • Beginners

    Lead Teacher: Andy Odiewuor | Newborns - 3 years

    Even our youngest ones benefit from hearing songs and stories about Jesus and being with their church family. They have a space here at CMC where the program's tailored just for them. Help your children develop the habit of church attendance by bringing them to this fun class full of song and motion!

  • KINDERGARTEN

    Lead Teacher: Amy Aybar | Age 3 - Kindergarten

    Their developing understanding of God is nurtured through stories told visually and orally, active songs, crafts, and learning to pray.

  • PRIMARY

    lead teacher: andy marter | grades 1-4

    New writing skills and developing vocabularies help young children increase their understanding of God's natural world and His gifts to them.  This class focuses on enhancing the children's knowledge of Our Creator, Bible stories, and making the right choices.

  • JUNIORS & EARLITEENS

    lead teachers:  shann fanwar/abnet berhane | grades 5-8

    This lively class combines physical activity, Bible knowledge games, and more in-depth discussion to develop growing comprehension in children during their puberty years.

  • TEENS

    lead teacher: benjie slack | grades 9-12

    This active group considers topics that are both personal and spiritual, while having fun, too. Service projects and weekly social events mean there's never a dull moment!

  • YOUNG ADULTS

    College students and other young adults are invited to come any Saturday they find themselves in D.C. to join the discussion. We study the Bible, grapple with challenging issues of faith, and socialize with other people at the same stage of life.  The class has studied the Book of Revelation, pleasing God, the life of David, money and service, and distorted images of self, among others. No preparatory reading is required, and fruit and muffins are always available. Class begins @10am on the lower level.

  • ADULTS | CAREERS ROOM

    This lively discussion group uses the Sabbath School lesson quarterly as a springboard for a discussion that addresses the questions and thoughts of all the participants.  The class follows the SDA Adult Quarterly.

  • ADULTS  |  HERITAGE ROOM

    This class is a fellowship of praise, hymn-singing, and intercessory prayer, followed by a dynamic group discussion, seeking truth in each week’s lesson under the Holy Spirit’s guidance.  The class follows the SDA Adult Quarterly

    This Sabbath School group encourages open discussion of the lesson study to reflect on the meaning of faith, to fellowship with one another, and to search for practical applications in daily life.  The class follows the SDA Adult Quarterly.

    This class, which meets in Parlor B on the upper level, covers a variety of topics, including the Three Angels' Message and the Protestant Reformation.
